Hi, Dirtrider,
I sent you a PM to see if the scale comes out right of
your pattern. I haven't tried up-loading images on the
ScrollSaw Workshop site yet.

Thanks, Gabby,
Isn't that just scary?
I hope the crooks aren't watching these videos to see how to
do these things more easily! LOL

Hi, Martin,
I thought you cut the brick areas in the BB.
I think you should do that rather than painting any
kind of background. Just my honest opinion.

For cutting the formica on a circular saw or table saw,
I've often heard that you should use a blade for plywood
and put it on BACKWARDS. I would definitely think you would
still have to a a sacrificial board underneath the formica.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Cutting Delicate work
« on: February 28, 2014, 01:00:00 am »
You have received some very good answers here.
The only other item I did not see mentioned is,
Use a zero tolerance insert in your scroll saw table.
If you don't want to make one that fits into the hole
from your existing insert, you can easily just tape a
piece of thin cardboard like an old playing card there.
The small hole will keep small, fragile parts of the project
from getting broken and sucked into your dust collector.

Hi, Gabby,
Do you know who wrote that?
I agree that America is divided. I don't like to talk politics so, all I will say
in that vein is, one man (the President) doesn't make all the ignorant choices that America has dealt with without the support of all the Congressmen that are NOT helping their constituents.
When you create a situation where one person works and someone else reaps the benefits, before long, the people working are going to get the idea they may as well change sides and become the ones accepting the hand-outs instead of the ones doing all the work.
I watch on a weekly basis that the company I work for engineer and test jobs for the automotive industry and then send those jobs to Mexico to run them at lower wage scales. Sure their wage scale is lower, their cost of living is much less! But, unfortunately, it seems all I can do is complain. I really have no idea how any of us can make it change.

Thanks for sharing, Dave,
You may want to add your name to the pattern for future reference.

Thanks for the reply.
I thought the roll was actually inside a circular container of some sort.
I didn't realize that in the picture I was actually seeing the outside of
the roll of paper.

Hi, Judy,
I also read that dryer sheets (for static cling) work well also.
I bought some cheap ones and used them on my Craftsman and
they did work alright for me but, the Craftsman has like a teflon
coating or something on it so, I doubt the dryer sheets are going to
stop any rust or anything like that on a metal table.

Cute, Todd,
What did you use for the circular part that holds the roll?

Great painting, TD!
