Welcome! I am Tony,aka,Toneman from Paris, Texas. There are a lot of good people on this forum who can give you a lot of good advice and direction. There is no such thing as a dumb question so don't hesitate to ask. Also, you may want to watch Steve's videos on you tube. He has some great video beginner lessons on saw operations, blade choices, wood choices, pattern preparation, cutting 90 deg. and circles and straight lines, etc. etc. This is how I learned; being scrolling now for about 7 years and it all started here on Steve's site. Just remember to have fun!

May I suggest using good blades like Flying Dutchman, Pagus, or Olson. Cheap blades can really cause problems and really, blades are not that expensive anyway.

I also have noticed a drop in activity and am hoping it has just been a busy time. I know October-December is a real busy time for us who do the craft show circuits so maybe action will pick up soon.

Welcome! I am Tony,aka,Toneman from Paris, Texas. If you keep having trouble with your saw, you may want to visit Ray at Seyco in Rockwall, Texas. He is an expert on scroll saws, I don't know if he works on Dewalts but does sell his own brand. I have purchased two Excaliburs from him (which I understand are no longer available) but do still purchase parts. You may want to just visit his web site or give him a call. Anyway, welcome to this forum; there are many, many nice scrollers here willing to help at any time.

General Scroll Saw Talk / SCROLL BEACH ITALIC FONT MISSING

I used to use a font called scroll beach italic found in the stencil pattern maker downloaded from this site. Now, that font is not listed and I cannot find it anywhere. I powered up my old computer and there it is still listed in the old stencil pattern maker. So, I copied the old version to a flash drive and downloaded to new computer, but, the font has been deleted. Can anyone help me on this?
