What kepy said. That looks really fragile. I'd just leave em out or do the wood burning as you already suggested.

You are either pressing too hard and not allowing the blade to do the cutting or your tension is off. One other point. You may be using the wrong blade for the thickness of wood. Softer woods can be done with a #3-#5 harder woods may require you to bump up to a #7. Take your time and allow the blade to do it's job & no side pressure.

Only problem with great sales like that is now you have to replace the inventory... The good thing is you have time before the 1st show of 2016. Congrats on a successful year.

I agree with DW and Don. Paint it don't even try to stain. Do seal the edges at the very least, with either shellac or a primer paint.
