General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Finish on Steve’s Medallion ?

I've heard others comment that there can be an issue with the file size of pics.  Probably too high a resolution.

The Coffee Shop / Re: Heritage Wood Link?

It is my understanding that Heritage Wood may have inadvertently let the certification of their Web Site lapse, creating the issue with our browsers attempting a log in there.  I have been pleased with the wood products that they have provided me but their website has been a disappointment on occasion.

I am not positive, but suspect that the issue is isolated to the Heritage Wood Site.

I use the medallions on some pieces and my preference is io install them 1st and then apply a clear satin finish.

As Norm suggested, I suspect you have a blade issue.  You might try Flying Dutchman Ultra Reverse #1 or #3

My two cents are to offer - with baltic birch vs a piece of hardwood I will often paint vs stain.  Further you should consider a slightly larger larger backer board as previously suggested.  Perhaps using Coast Guard scheme colors.  thanks for sharing

Spirithorse, as I am sure you have noticed, active participation will dramatically drop of from time to time.  I suspect that lookers and downloaders are more active.  It has puzzled me on occasion.  Regards >> GLC in Cypress, Texas

Sorry , but I have no knowledge of the wen saw.  As a suggestion, you might try bearwoods.com.  If they don't sell the item you are seeking, they might have a suggestion.   Regards >> GLC in Cypress, Texas.
