I always taped the together with packing tape when I stack cut and I have never had a problem.

I have two external hard drives. One for my home computer and one for my laptop. I use them as temporary storage. You have to remember that they are hard drives to and can crash. That is why I put some thing on data DVDs. I think they will last for 50 years or more.

I agree, once unzipped you can delete them. Or if you have enough room, I store them with other information I might need in case of a hard drive crash and burn them to a data dvd.
