I really like this design. One thing has me worried though.
Does the entire center of the fire ball come out? Looks really fragile.
Gabby

I agree with you gabby, I've been watching that spot really close.  I think I'd have been saving waste pieces and would be taping them back so as not to break anything.  Definitely a pucker factor of 10.5.

Great job so far!

I have not tried that particular brand of spray but I have used 3m77 for that purpose successfully.

Nicely done....I like how you dealt with the (') apostrophe.  Do you have a pattern you would be willing to share?

Thanks for all the compliments.  It feels good to get back in the shop after a 2 month hiatus to move.

Aileens has about 6-7 different types of glue too.  Some are re-positionable or temporary bonds.  What is the full name of the product?  This might be the problem.  However if it was at ww as already mentioned it could be old product as well.

Computer questions / Mac Vs. Micro
« on: August 08, 2011, 07:44:58 pm »
My computer is nearly 6 years old and is a pc running xp pro. I know any day now it's gonna crash and burn. I have it backed up etc. but I'm thinking about getting a mac this time around.

Can I use windows on a mac so I can still use things like irfanview and steve goods little program pattern makers?

Will I still be able to edit my website via a mac? I know maybe dumb questions but I've never even looked at a mac screen I just hear they (apple) are much more stable and user friendly. I'm tired of being held hostage to Microsoft and their new OPS all the time and then they stop supporting older OPS.

Should I go with an iMAC?

Tutorials, Techniques and Tips / Re: RIT dyes
« on: August 06, 2011, 02:48:36 pm »
Mix the Rit with denatured alcohol it will dry faster and will not raise the wood grain nearly as much as water.  Do not boil the alcohol like you would water before mixing the dye.  It may flame up on you.

I agree with the ribbon.  I've sold many of those for fund raising.  Quick to make and you can paint them or leave them natural as some people want different colored ones.  As a survivor I have a Purple one in my truck!

Ron,
That may work as well, however i was able to convince him to let me cut out the white and attach the raised letters to a backer board.  I'll post a pic when it is complete.

Thanks everyone for your helpful comments.
