No it's not the set screw or the the thumb screw. I've been using DeWalt's for twelve years or so and this has always been a problem for me. To clarify this happens more often with small blades such as a # 0/2, less on a #2 and not on a #5.

Yes, from the bottom clamp. The blade end up looking like a hockey stick.

Thanks Sheila, I spent a couple of hours today scrolling and adjusting as I scrolled. I hoped that would make a difference, but the blade still bends.
Still look for a solution.

I am the worlds worst speller! Fortunately I found a good spell check program.
You can download it at www.iespell.com. Once it is downloaded, you right click on your mouse, and click on iespell and the spell checker will come up!
Its a great tool especially for those that are afraid to post because thy don't spell well.
