I have wanted to try one of those. I go by the quote "caveat emptor" when I buy from Harbor Freight.

Yes flat blades are a must when doing bevel cuts. It is all a learning process. Trial and error.

The one from Harbor Freight is good for ocasional use. If you are going to use it allot you will need one heavier duty. A Dewalt, Sears etc. I agree about checking the local Craigslist. Craiglook will search Craigslist within 250 miles.
