General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: New mop

I guess we should make a list of things not to do when building sanding mop. I used my band saw too and wrecked my blade. I had to buy a new blade. Also break it in like Dan said before you use it on a project.  8)

Dragonlord last post on Sept. 19 he said he was going to be a grandfather again.

Ufgators last post Sept. 17 was asking for sports patterns.

Also a bookmark is only suppose to hold a few pages, not 20 or 30. So it would only need to give a little.  8)

I think the thickest I would make bookmarks is 1/8" or .125" or 3.175mm. Thinner would make it work better.  8)

I agree with Dunk. Steve is a real busy guy and it might take him a while to get back you. We have allot of people that can help you if you post in Pattern Requests. If you want me to move this thread (post) just let me know and I will put it in Pattern Requests so we don't have duplicates.  :)

Janet, I order my Baltic birch plywood "good one side"  12"X24" pieces. You can used 1/8" or 1/4" thickness. I like 1/4 " thick better, but I make my own frames out of 3/4" thick stock. So having room for a backer is no problem.
If you are using picture type frames you buy then you might want to use 1/8" thick BB. Order some of both 1/8" and 1/4" and try it.
Most premade picture frames come in a variety of sizes 5x7, 8x10, 8 1/2x11, 9x12, 11x14, 14 x18, 16x20, 18x24, 20x24, 22x28, and 24x30 inch.
You will have to decide what size frame you want or is available and cut the BB to fit.   8)

Reading the one with the wooden leg reminded me of my poor brother. He has some of the worst luck. I told him one day if he had a wooden leg it would have termites. LOL  :o
