Wow. You must have had it pretty bad. Glad you are feeling better. Don't push yourself. Slow and easy and lots of liquids. Looking forward to your return.   :)

I like the idea. I say we all meet at Steve's House. You think he has enough outlets for all the saws. I get First Dibs on the guest room. After all I am the Moderator. LOL ;D  ;D  ;D

I use flat blades 90% of the time. Spirals only when the flat blade won't work. Looking at the ornaments a flat blade should work well. 8)

12mm is right at 1/2". I wouldn't do more that two at a time. The No.5 blade is that an Olsen, Flying Dutchman? What kind of saw?
A 5/0 Flying Dutchman will cut pine at 1" to 1 1/2" thick on the right saw, an Excaliber, Dewalt, Hegner.  8)

Janet  &  Judy check your e-mail.

For a novice I would puchase a router table. You will get more use from it.
I have both router table and shaper. I use the router table all the time. I use the shaper once a month to shape the faces of the picture frames I will be using.  8)

« on: October 01, 2010, 04:16:36 am »
I agree with everyone. The 2/0 blade is to small for 5/8" wood. The blade is flexing to much. Also you can check the blades tension by the amount of flex the blade has. After setting the tension take you finger and gently push the blade from side to side. It should only flex only 1/8".  8)

I use my router table 90% of the time. Very seldom do I freehand. I built a Dremel router table and love it for small projects. You won't go wrong with a router table.  8)
