Treated wood contains chemicals to help prevent the wood from decay, fungus and from insects (termites). The older treated wood before 2003 had arsenic and chromium in it. I would not use it for scrolling for it could be hazardous to you health.

I agree with using the router table. I use mine to round over edges all the time. Everyone has given some good suggestions.
