Here is one of two box's I finished to day it is the good luck trinket box it is half lined inside with a shallow trey also lined in the top for smaller pieces of a ladies treasures, the lid is scrolled with a good luck horse shoe

Here is the 5th and 6th cross I have made and may have one more order, on is of Jarra and the other in rimu they have sold well but take around 4 hours for each to make and assemble

This was a disaster, my 5th nativity cross and no problems until this one I was trying to do too many things at once and left the belt sander on turned around and whack the corner of the cross hit the belt and this is the result, one piece is missing but there is to many chips on the breaks to repair. oh well 2 hour work on the saw down the gurgler

We don't get shops like that in NZ with the variety of machines and wood, we normally get a choice of one and it is a take it leave it, wood is sold by certain suppliers [imported at a premium] and native timber is from a very limited supply

Most of my shows are out side and a canopy is essential to protect the wood from the sun, the only problem is if you get a windy day

The wood is rimu and is about all I use as this what my customers want, it does come in a variety of colors depends on what part of the country it is grown in.
Marcel a trinket box is a jewelery box as a rule but calling it a trinket box men buy them as well, doesn't sound so sissy I suppose

Great buy on the machine I paid $450 for a small Ryobi it does the job but something of you size would be better
