I have used Christmas ornament hangers that I pushed through the slots on a shelf support that was supported between two bricks.

I think this was Carol Rothman tip that I am using. Glue a piece of sandpaper to a glazed floor tile and then rub it back and forth.  Your piece is always flat then.  I have 2 different tiles with different grits.

We are supposed to warm up over the next week, just heard -4C by the weekend - anything is better than the -40C windchill we had this past weekend.  (Winnipeg, MB)

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Glue guns - which one do you like and use
« on: December 13, 2015, 11:03:46 am »
For the layered ornament, I just use wood glue and paint a small bit on the spacers.  I glue the spacers to the centre layer on both sides first then when they are dry glue the outer layers.  That way I know they spacers are in the same place.

I cut last year's style with baltic birch.  For the finish, I covered in mineral oil, then sprayed clear Varathan.  I don't mind the look of the edges on the baltic birch.  This is one of ten. Stack cut the back and middle layers.
(hope the link works)

I keep mine in ziploc bags so I can write on the outside what blade size it is.   The bags just sit on a shelf - need to get those organized!

According to my tech husband, it can't be removed, but can be hidden better.  He didn't tell me how, however!!!
