General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Early XMAS Present

I enquired about a foot switch from the tool store where I got my EX21 from, they quoted me ?85 for it so I said no thanks. I wonder if the one you got would work on our 250v systems?

I used them for a while, but found they are harder to follow a line with as they tend to wander a fair bit, also they didn't keep their edge as long as an FD UR blade, so I went back to FD blades. Lastly Mikes Workshop can sell me a gross of blades cheaper than I can get them from my supplier over here and they get here quicker than my UK supplier can get them to me. (Mike's postal charges are cheaper too, he charges only $3 but my supplier over here has a standard ?4.99 delivery charge)

Another possible cause of the wood jumping/bouncing is if the wood is slightly warped, then with the edges taped there is still a slight gap between the pieces in the centre. I have had this before and it does make it bounce a lot. the cure is a nail or staple in a waste area in the centre of the wood, this worked for me.

Rob Roy.
Things not too bad at minute Rob, still waiting to hear from Atos though (they'll probably send letter a few days before Christmas just to make my Christmas happy lol)  My fingers have almost healed after the argument with the bandsaw when my leg gave way and I fell over. How are things up there in the wilds of Scotland? you and your family keeping ok I hope?
