Lime most of what we do there are various levels of complexity.  Some are real simple others are more complex

This bowl is 7 1/2 inches long x 6 inches wide x 3 inches tall.  It was cut from 3/4 sapelle I cut 1/4 inch wide strips of 3/4 holly for this bowl as well.  The bowl was cut using a 26.9 deg. left side down table tilt.  Cut with a #9 ultra reverse.  Finished with shellac.

Computer questions / Re: WATCHING YOUTUBE VIDEOS
« on: August 18, 2015, 05:38:03 pm »
Easiest way is to the control panel and open up the back up and restore section.  inside you will see "Recover system settings or your computer" click on that.  You will then see a button "Open System Restore" - click on that.  This opens a dialog that will allow you to chose a time in the recent past - hopefully before you were experiencing issues and restore to that time.  It will not destroy your personal data but will reset your system settings to a time before you were having problems.

Is it me or does everyone scroll listening to some great music in the back ground.....my preferred is BLACK SABBATH OR JUST OZZY....any good rock will do it also....just wondering.....
Thanks...
Jim..

Not just you Jim.  I generally listen to good modern Country, but I was raised on Rock and have no problem listening to it as I work.  Either will do just fine:)

Computer questions / Re: windows 10 sucks
« on: August 17, 2015, 05:43:15 am »
Windows 10 like any other OS Microsoft has put out has some bugs that is to be expected.  The OS is a major departure inside from previous versions of Windows including Window 8 / 8.1.  As for doing the upgrade let this guide from Microsoft's own website be your guide.

You have approx. 1 year to get the free upgrade, in that time there will be a ton of patches I am sure so for me at least I am waiting.  About doing the upgrade at all, while the OS that you have now will continue to operate when the extended support date is reached you will no longer be able to get drivers, upgrades or any support at all from Microsoft.  It is because of this that if I could locate a good replacement OS ( Linux and its variants are NOT good replacements as they can not run all the programs that have been written for Microsoft Windows platform ) I would go to it.  I do not like being forced to make a change because the company that made the OS decided to make more money from the world.  Will I am not going to get on that soap box as this is not the forum for it.

The Coffee Shop / Re: Wood shop in a suitcase! Check it out!!
« on: August 16, 2015, 07:19:49 pm »
I looked up the price on that it is around $549 USD.  It comes out of the UK.  Neat idea but if it is going to be used more than just casually it needs to be built stronger, the plastic would not hold up to more than occasional use.

Get togethers, shows and swap meets / Art in the Park Art and Craft Show
« on: August 15, 2015, 08:19:01 pm »
I had a show today. Here are pictures of my setup

While I did not sell everything I did sell about 70% of what I brought.  It was a very nice day for holding a show, 78 degrees partly sunny.  All in all it was not my best showing at this event nor was it my worst.  Had a great time.

I have a customer that wanted a HUGE bank made.  Below is the result.  The little pig in the picture is 10" long x 7" high x 3 3/4" thick, the Super Pig is 16" long x 12" tall x 5 1/4" thick.  Both have been cut from pine, sealed with tung oil and then top coated with shellac.
