We have 2 dogs & 2 cats, but I like to tease my granddaughter that dogs are the upgrade for cat owners.  Always gets me a dirty look!  She loves cats.

Like the rest of you guys I go direct to the source whenever possible.  For one thing, if you need help it saves steps.  If this outfit doesn't treat the artists properly they are eventually going to bring on their own demise.  We know you Sheila and we know who is in the right!

Sounds idyllic dirts.  The temperatures and water temp will begin to drop here locally and I will increase my kayaking.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: RBI Hawk

I have had 2 and they are great saws.  Whether the price is right partly depends on the model.  If it is a 26 inch or close with variable speed, thats a bargain.  If it is a 16 inch with a single speed, not so much.  RBI was shut down, however the line has been taken over by Bushton Mfg who offers parts and is back in production with some models.

Ok, I am the oddball.  The best saw for me is the one I have.  An RBI 26" VS.  I have had 2 RBI's, a 16" and this one and I think they are great.  They are bottom feeders, but that doesn't present a problem for me.  I only wish Bushton (the company that bought them out) could restore them to their former place in the market.

My wife started. Small tree only for ornaments received from the exchange, even though we have only done it a couple of years.  Each ornament is special on its own because it came from someone here.

I do the same Dan.  It's even better when you have a thicknessing sander for after the resaw.  Gotta love power tools!

I like the Carter blades either directly from them or my local Woodcraft shop.  I have both 1/8 and 1/4.  The 1/8 blades do tend to break more.  The Carter stabilizer really performs well with the 1/8 blade also.  It reallys reduces the turning radius of the blade.

I have a 14" Jet bandsaw with a riser that is on a mobile base and I move it around all the time.  It has been no problem at all.
