Thank you so much for the pattern.  I'll try to do it in intarsia and fretwork.  Now to get just the right wood.  Again thank you

I don't know yet how I want to cut it.  Intarsia or fretwork.  Hopefully if someone makes the pattern they will know how it should be cut.

Torsten,
There are several different styles to the Byzantine Cross.  I haven't seen Sue Mays.  The one I was looking for is like you described.  I am working on it now.

Could any one help me find a pattern for a Byzantine Cross?  Our pastor's home was borken into the other day and one of the items taken was the Byzantine Cross.  I thought that I could possibly scroll one.  Thank you for any help

Intarsia / Re: First Intarsia
« on: February 07, 2011, 09:54:47 am »
The main body is Butternut, The nose is walnut, The "tung" is bloodwood and the eyes are magic marker.  I haven't been able to find any inexpensive black wood.  This is my wife's dog.  Mine is a Min-Pin.  Thanks for all of the positive comments.

This is my first try.  It is a copy of my wifes dog. I need a lot more practice to be half as good as some of the finnished work that has been posted here.
