I just started to watch your video and sure appreciate you doing it.
Here comes the BUT. I could hardly hear you and had the sound all the
way up. Maybe you aren't speaking into the mike directly. Hope its just
me having the trouble.

Thanks for all your help on this site.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: DeWalt boat anchor
« on: July 20, 2014, 12:37:21 pm »
I saw all the posts about the DeWalt saw so I bought a Delta 40-694 two weeks ago.
To date no problems and a real step up from what I had before. Now you all have me
thinking how long before trouble comes along.

You have been great with your brother. Family comes first and you are a great example of that.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: ROUND FLORESCENT BULB
« on: July 07, 2014, 06:35:11 pm »
I was also wondering about the bulbs for a magnifying light.
I was looking at a couple of used ones on Craigs list today a thought
it would be a good idea to see if you can get a bulb if you have a burn out.
Someone here must know with all the lights I see on saws on this forum.
Thanks for your help.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Saw Trouble
« on: June 29, 2014, 05:58:21 pm »
Delta 16 inch varible speed saw.
Today I was lubing the saw - Removed  upper and lower pivot pins
per the manual. Both came out normallyand the bottom one went
back in fine but the upper one will not tighten. I have run a tap into
the hole in the casting (8mm/125) still no luck. (yes that is the size)
A screw of that size tighens just fine in the casting. Pivot pin threads
look OK and a nut tightens on it fine.

Any thoughts ?

Is it time to look for a new saw?   AL

This 13 year old can play. Worth listening.
