I don't think stain to darken something is bad or painting but painted stuff doesn't sem to sell as well in my area most people seem to like the natural look plus painting takes more time and I'd rather be cutting

Good reason not to do an outdoor sale when something like that happens it is no longer fun so I only do indoor sales even if I don't sell a lot I can still enjoy myself and go home with all my stuff intact still sorry to hear it happened

Hawk Hegner Excaliber are probably the top 3 saws don't downgrade to anything less or you may not enjoy your hobby as much if you have a saw your happy with don't switch my 2 cents

Have an ex16 only disadvantage is the motor runs a little slower so if you run your saw wide open go with the 21 otherwise no difference

Have an ex 16&hawk I lean towards the hawk but here again it costs more as the ex 16 runs slower than the 21 sometimes that is a problem had adewalt type 1 they are all good saws service and parts in your area could be a deciding factor

I also cut a lot of3/4 thick puzzles I use ur#5 depending on the wood as to how fast i run the saw how fast I feed the wood never let the blade get dull if the blade is to thick the puzzle will fallapart too small and it won't come apart. Just my 2 cents on puzzles.
