General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: dremel rotary drill
« on: February 24, 2012, 05:40:52 pm »
Bought one about a year ago along with many of the bits, I don't get on with it at all, and it now sits under the bench redundant. I may get it out in the future and use it to drill holes along with the flexi hose, but that is it.

The Coffee Shop / The new girlfriend.
« on: February 24, 2012, 03:54:30 am »
A young man took his new blonde girlfriend out for the night, cinema and a few drinks etc then on the way home ?as you do, pulled up in a quiet lane and after a quick fumbling session said to her, ?Get in the back?. ?NO?. She replied. ?Oh go on, get in the back?.  He asked again. ?NO?. She said again sharply. ?Why not, he asked, I thought you liked me?. ?Oh I do she said, I think you are really cute, that's why I want to stay in the front with you?.

The Coffee Shop / The Book
« on: February 23, 2012, 07:17:17 pm »

Sister Mary Louise is teaching her class how to write a book and goes to great lengths to explain that a book must have a little religion, a little sex and a huge mystery. She then asks them to work out a plot and start on the first chapter, and reminds them again, a little religion, a little sex and a big mystery. After 5mins, the blonde in the class put her hand up and said. ?Finished sister?. Sister in disbelief asked her to read it out to the class, whereupon the girl stood up and read. ?My God, I?m pregnant, who done it?

Welcome back dear friend, you have been sorely missed round here. The jokes in the coffee shop all but dried up and scroll saws around the world have been at rest, just waiting for Marion?s next post about your wellbeing. After all that, the best you can come up with are the rules of the BBQ. All I can say is the grub in there must be lousy. Never mind Laurie will soon have you home and hopefully you will abide by her rules and take it nice and slow. Finally, don?t do that again, you frightened the s*** out of us .

How about a box big enough to hold all the wedding memories including the album and inlay the top

Paul. You are English, so I will quote Churchill by saying of you those immortal words. ?Never was so much done for so many by so few.?

There may be a case for such things in industry where insurance premiums are high and an employer is liable for his employees safety, but an individual working in his garage has only a responsibility to himself and therefore should be able to make his own decisions as to the level of safety he employs to protect himself. Health and safety in the workplace is largely a matter of common sense, and from my experiences as an ex Project Manager, common sense is not very common.  keep safe.

Hi Sheila.
Congrats on your first year, far from you thanking us, we should be thanking you, as you are a great asset to the site.

Oh dear, with all the useless joints on the site, perhaps we had better turn our saws towards making prosthetic limbs instead, anyone got a pattern for a new ankle.
Take care of yourself Mat we are here for you.
