I have used a number of bamboo cutting boards for projects. It cuts really nicely, sort of powders away.

This is an awesome series!!!!
I love the possibility of starting a new tradition of telling the story through ornaments

I recently lost a marine who was a very close friend (it was a PTSD related suicide) If you create or find a worthy organization I would love to know about it. I would love to donate to a good cause, not someone's salary.

When my friend was over-seas for a while I made ornaments to send over. They had our state outline and "we love you" on one side and a picture on the other. A large group of us put our family Christmas photos in the ornaments and sent them over.

It is one of the best things I have spent money on (with the exception of my saw)

To further complicate things...
Not all wood is created equal, not all 2x4's are the same wood. many are fir, not pine. There is also a big difference in cutting the different species of pine.

I got some 8/4 pine from my school (used for turning practice) it cut beautifully with the scroll saw.

I also use the hot glue method of attaching hangers to thin wood.

On some projects a hanging string/ribbon can be added to dress up the project as well as hang it.

other times I will put small screw eye hooks in the back and thread a string or wire through to hang a project from.

I have made several of these by finding silhouettes of the images and cutting around the image.
I will see what I can come up with for you.

I would worry about cleaning plastic with mineral spirits or lacquer thinner, I would think that it might start to eat the plastic.
What material are you trying to remove?
Acrylic usually peals nicely off of plastic, i just scratch with my finger nail to get it started and then it lifts right off. A water stream is also useful, but the paint clogs up the drain so be careful.

At my school we have a box full of similar blades. There are a couple of "ancient" rockwell jig/scroll saws that we use them in.

It was likely that the moderator thought it was a double post and was just trying to clean up.
