I use adhesive paper too.  Watch the internet for pricing deals - can often find it at much lower prices than anywhere else.

I missed it too, kind of glad I think.  I saw a sign in a restaurant that read something to the effect of "The language you would use in church will do just fine here".  Kind of says it all.

Someone please make that into a pattern.  I'll hang it in my husband's office.  It will go right beside his sign "You can agree with me OR be wrong" - rofl!

Late to the game, but wanted to also encourage Steve to take the time he needs.  I've always found it amazing that he can post so many patterns and manage everything else - and that was before I new he cooked and did the housework!

Steve, we do appreciate your hard work, and we do appreciate your creating this blog.  It's nice to chat with other scrollers, even if I don't get here as often as I would like.

General Scroll Saw Talk / An interesting experience I wanted to share
« on: August 28, 2011, 12:44:04 pm »
Our woodworking group was invited to have a presence at a new Agricultural fair, both to promote woodworking and to sell anything we had.  The weather turned out less than perfect - windy from Hurricane Irene, so we couldn't really display well.  I did sell one piece that I made a number of years ago titled Sailing Away.  The price tag had taken flight and I accidentally sold it for less than I had intended.  My problem, not the customer's.  He came back by the table several times and was looking at another piece which was priced more reasonably.  He said "oh, you must have mis-priced the piece I bought earlier.  Can I pay you more for it?"  After I picked my jaw up from the pavement I thanked him and said no.  He came back by later to be sure his credit card processed correctly because he hadn't gotten his email confirmation yet. He make sure I had his business card so that if the transaction wasn't successful I could let him know and he'd pay me with cash.  How often do you encounter that?

BTW - I used the Square credit card processor - worked great!

I'm I seeing the pattern correctly - that the whiskers and ears extend out past the backer?  Wouldn't they be really fragile?

It's sad that those none of those are surprising.  I really love giving cashier's change that will affect what they give me back (the $0.25 example).  Thank goodness the registers can tell them how much to return.  One McD's even had a automated change return, so the cashier only handled bills.

I've used the permanent spray.  As far as I know it works great - it's as easy to use as any other.  I'm attaching photo's for puzzles and had no lift-up at all.
