I used to know a man who did inlay boxes very similar to this one.  He had a deal with a couple of private jewelry stores and that box would have easily sold for $60 - $100.00.  A small one for earrings often sold for $50.00.  The store kept 20%.  He sold between 10 and 20 a month, more at Christmas.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  I'm Julie from Texas.  Glad to have you.  We have some extremely talented intarsia artists here (I am not one of them).  I've done a few pieces but nowhere near the talent of some of these guys.

Thanks for reposting those.  I still think they are great.  I thought some of the newbies would appreciate seeing some of your work.

Good to know, Al.  I was talking about your cabinet doors the other day.  They were a masterpiece.  You should repost them for all the new members to see.  They were awesome!!

The longer you do this, the easier it will become to recognize different designers.  Most of them will sell their patterns through other means than scroller or Winfield designs.  I have googled pattern designers by name and found most of the designs I see in those publications.  If I can find the source, I always order directly from the designer.
