Don't have the problem your referring to.  Most of Steve's patterns show the outline in a GRAY tone, but when I print them they come out with a darker line.  Danny  :+}

Well I bought my supply of this paper a couple years ago off of EBAY.  Paid $10 for 250 sheets.
Still have plenty.  I did look in STAPLES a while ago and they sell it.  Sorry didn't jot down the amount or costs.

Haven't tried it yet, but some one here uses Shelf Paper with the adhesive on back.  Think was in place of the painters tape.  Think still used spray glue for the pattern.  Said it peels off easily.

Hey Thumbs (aka Richard) Very HAPPY to see you on here..............Danny  :+}

General Scroll Saw Talk / Up-Date on NOT USING PAINTERS TAPE.... :+}
« on: February 21, 2014, 02:11:29 pm »
Was just reading and re-reading the posts and ran across the one I put about painters tape and decided to say a thing or three....  It has been so long since I used Painters tape it seems strange just to think about all them Years I did use it.  And also sometimes the frustrations of peeling off the tape with the pattern after all was cut.  Or (don't miss this) using Spirits to dissolve the tapes glue stick-um.  Way to messy for me.  And some places having the tape take bits n pieces of the wood with it upon removal.  Nah! I stick with STICKY BACK STOCK.  I would guess I have Successfully cut over 4 dozen different patterns with 100% success.  Yea!
             Anyway just another 13 cents worth................Danny  :+}

Probably a LATE reply, but it is Clear, so visually you could squeeze the tube a lil to hard and being a Glue It is on the Sticky side.  Being careful where you apply it all works Great.
                  Just my 13 cents....  Danny  :+}

Hello my Friend Woodchuck,
     I really feel that YES all out Scrolling projects that aren't that Huge and mostly cut out of 1/4 or 1/8 stock are pretty light, so even tho spraying a backer piece isn't bare wood I say that Aleens glue is a good choice.    My 13 cents....  Danny  :+}
