The FD-SP blade is very, very thin. I have to agree with Mike, anything over 1/4" and you will dull the blade quickly and break quite a few of them. But, if someone else has had luck cutting thicker wood with these blades, I'd like to know what wood he was cutting.

Very cool. I like the money boxes. If you do shows, you could make some blank ones and have the letters available to glue on as needed.

You need some wet stuff? I think I know where it's at. This was taken 2 hours ago. Yes those are baseball fields. They are almost 7 feet under water.

On a lot of saws, my Delta included, the design is to have the top of the blade cut into the wood first. This makes the saw more aggressive. I tried tilting the back of the table but that doesn't change the geometry of the blade movement. On my Delta, the bottom of the blade is about 1/32" to the rear of the top of the blade. For most of my cuts, this makes no difference in the finished work because when cutting thin material (1/2" or less) the difference is very insignificant. When cutting 3/4" and above, it is more noticeable on sharp corners.

Bamboo. We have a set of bamboo spoons that we've used for years and they are still in great condition.

Brush Script MT is one that I like to use, but it doesn't have the r you are looking for. Edwardian Script ITC flows nicely and hast the r you want, but it also has fancy upper case letters. Lucida Handwriting also has the r you want but doesn't flow very well. You can probably connect some of the letters if you need to make them that way. I'm sure there are more and someone will find one the fits your need.

If I'm putting the welcome sign outdoors, I like the look of 3/4". If it's indoors I usually go thinner, maybe 1/4". I think it's a personal preference.

I was in a scrolling slump before too. Don't know why but just didn't feel like scrolling or turning. I did go to the garage and clean all the benches. That led to cleaning the saw. Then when I realized how clean everything was I couldn't handle it and started making dust again. Just saying...

The only tip I can offer is to stop in the Smokey Mountains for a few days. If you do, you may change your mind about Florida. Have a safe trip. Are you retiring?

Hi Marcell. Where does the BATTERY fit. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
Rob Roy.
Reminds me of the story about a dad who gives an old watch to his daughter. The girl thinks it's beautiful but can't figure out where the battery goes. Her dad says, "It's a wind up watch. It doesn't take batteries." The girl says, "Wow! A watch that doesn't take batteries. What will that think of next?"
