Hi ufgator, I used a #7 scroll reverse. You could easily use a #5 or a #9 if you are cutting them from pine.

Hi David, it was probably www.dafont.com. A word of caution though. Font sites are notorious for being less than upstanding citizens of the web. I have used www.dafont.com for years with no problem but I always use firefox web browser, install all security patches that Microsoft sends down and never click external links from the site. Like any place you visit on the web use good judgment and travel at your own risk.

Hi Cherie, I think it looks fine. I did a quick scan for fall outs and did not see any. I say take it to the shop.

Hi Janet, I use ipower.com. Their service is good but not perfect. They offer a great set of features with every option you can imagine. I have some down time but it's not excessive. I pay $100 a year for the hosting and $10 for the domain. Unlimited storage and bandwidth. Great statistics. I use the hosting to serve all my patterns. I also have the forum and gallery there. The blog is still hosted with google however.

That is beautiful work. We don't have many readers on my blog that do marquetry. Thanks for sharing the picture. It will probably inspire others to give it a try.

I can record the video stream but not the chat. I'm not sure one would make sense without the other. Let me think about it. Good idea though.

If not tell me what you do see.

Hi Judy, I guess it depends on what you mean by taking credit. Most pattern designers would want you to only take credit for the changes. Some books only allow personal use of the patterns. If you are going to sell the finished projects you would need to check with each individual author. It's usually spelled out in the book.

I don't think you could sell the pattern even with your changes. Although the changes in your example are nice I don't think there would be nearly enough change to make the pattern your own. You would almost certainly be looking for trouble selling your pattern.

My personal restrictions on my patterns are simple. You are free to make and sell as many projects from my patterns as you like.  I want my patterns to remain free. I ask that the patterns not be sold. You are free to share my patterns with as many people as you like as long as the title page stays with the pattern. If you make changes to one of my patterns then I prefer it not be passed along as my pattern. Pass it on as a pattern you edited from one of my patterns.
