I have a Rigid 3650 saw with a 1 1/2 HP motor and thin kerf blade that cuts 1"- 3" thick, soft and hardwood well.  I  personally, do not need three HP for what I do. (Mostly ripping and re-sawing) My fence works well and that is important in a table saw.

Only two more to go.  These are done and delivered. Maple inlaid into cedar box lids.  11"x8"x2" boxes with hinged lids. The "W" is the brand of a local rancher and the name I understand but I have no idea what the cloud is about.  They draw it and I inlay it.

I bought the "Professional" Hegner Polymax-3 in 2008.  I am retired and run it almost every day.  I do not do fretwork so all of my cutting is on 3/4" - 1 3/4" wood.  I killed a DeWalt in 20 months cutting wood at this rate and thickness as has one of my friends.  Changing speeds is simple and quick on the Polymax and there is no circuit board to go out on you.  The Polymax MUST be mounted on the heavy duty stand and it must be secured to the floor to stop the shaking of this heavy duty saw.  Mine is  running smooth still after five years.

I made nine of these eight inch long fir models of an F-86f to add to the six thousand+ toys that our club made and donated this year to The Salvation Army and local children's hospitals.  I downloaded plans from the INTERNET and used them to make the pattern for these toys.

Last year I started making projects, for sale in the fall,  in January.
I have filled three large (25 units each) custom orders in Oct. and Nov. this year,  had no problem filling them and still have stock to sell through the end of this year.  Storage space is an issue for sure.
