You just got this saw.  if you start tinkering with it you will void the warranty.  Take it back to HD.  Quit messing around and get a different saw.

Since it is new don't do any adjustments you may void the warranty.  Take it back and insist on trying out a new one in the store to save your self a trip.

You can never have too much wood and if the price is right (and in this case I think it is ) jump all over it.

you cannot judge how many people have actually read a post by the number displayed.
Because all the spiders, bots etc are counted & displayed as viewed by as well,  Just like everything else that  crawls the site so maybe only 10 real people have actually looked at the posting..

Helmsman minwax spar urethane is marine grade and non-toxic when cured.  I use it all the time.  I prefer the Minwax? Water Based Helmsman? Spar Urethane much easier cleanup.

Read all about it.  Click this link.

BTW  I've sent them an e-mail asking if this will assist in preventing or slowing down deterioration of out door painted projects using it as a top coat.  Since it dries very clear & has UV protection and is water resistant.

I'd cut them down and use for smaller projects.  When cutting them down to size I'd have them convex up so they don't rock.

Thank you for your response.  I was able to get the pattern issue resolved last night.  You are correct in what I was referring too as "yard art".
