They say necessity is the mother of invention.
My fix for this problem was to clamp my B&D handheld belt sander in a vise upside down it has a hold on button to lock it on. Works great. Replacement belts are relatively inexpensive and available at the local lumber yard / building supply store. I hope this is helpful.

From what I've seen of your work I hardly expected anything less from you. Great job!
Now for a OLD poor boy, you need to do it with a galvanized tub, I was the last after my 3 older brothers. I think only the top layer was washed off. Brings back memories.

« on: February 25, 2011, 03:16:38 am »Yeah, my camera and lighting suck. Every time I save up to buy a camera, I end up buying wood.Actually I think your camera did a good job. Take a little time to set the object you are photographing up so that you can view it straight on. A good contrasting background helps along with a good zoom to focus in close. There are tons of other factors which I'm not going to go into here and bore everyone to tears.

Dog gone! I was just trying to make it easier for us "older" folks that grew up on "Imperial" measurements, and don't know or really give a darn about metric, but need to convert all that gobbledygook (spell check even recognised that as a word) to something we can understand and measure with the tools from the hardware store that still come in feet and inches, here in the USA.

Thank you wadawood that is one beautiful horse. Hopefully some day I can do it justice. At one time I worked for an Arabian Horse breeder, I've seen stallions prancing around feeling their oats just like that, always made me appreciate their power and grace. Wish there had been a Clinton Anderson or Dennis Reis to learn from back then. We were in the dark ages of horse training in those days. If anyone is interested in horse training look those two up they are the best! You can see them on RFD-TV too.

I live about 2 miles from the one in Medford and would love to meet you.Bill that would be great problem is I rarely leave CJ as a matter of fact one of the guys from the croaker club offered to pick it up for me as he was going to be right there. I was going to order it online I couldn't buy the gas for that trip for what the shipping cost. I had a couple of bouts with blood clots in my leg and since then I can't stay seated for too long before the pain gets to be too much, then I have to get up and walk around or at least stand. Last time I went to GP I was in agony by the time I got home. So I don't travel unless I have to. P's me off too because I love to travel. I'll send you my phone number via e-mail and if you're going to be out this way give me a shout.
