These are my latest projects.  Some of them will used as door prizes at the ice cream social at my church next month.  Since I stack cut them, will have some for Christmas also.

I hear you Judy.  I couldn't even read for very long at first but is getting better so there is definitely hope.  Just be as patient as you can and you will soon be back.

It is really good to see you back.  I don't think that we should ever sleep together again as neither one of us had very good results.  Welcome back.

Hey GB.  Listen to the Drs and then decide what you want rather than what they want.  You know that your family here will support you whatever your decision.

When I was teaching, I would have loved those kids.  You have to really stay on your toes to keep up with them.  This spring, I subbed in an agronomy class with plans to show a video.  They told me they really needed to work in the greenhouse and offered to tell the teacher they watched the video to keep me out of trouble.  I wasn't worried about that and agreed to them working in the greenhouse.  Later, I found out that the teacher had been absent for the two previous days and when I read the notes, they had pulled the same story each day.  I had to laugh as they had pulled one over on me.

A friend of mine had one and found out that it wouldn't last if you did a lot of scrolling.

I often use fabric or felt.  Just dot glue on larger areas of the cutting and stretch the material on.  I also have bought a cheap framed mirror and placed the cutting in front of the mirror.

I have done cutting to order for years mostly to crafters that want to decorate or finish the items.  It can get tedious for sure such as the lady who wanted 100 2" hearts but at least it helps pay for this addiction.  I recently donated a couple of Harley Davidson pieces for an auction at Amvets to raise funds for the honor flights.  Don't know how they sold.

That is really good news.  Have been checking regularly as we had surgery on the same day.  Can't believe that we both had problems.  I am still recovering but doing better.  Haven't been to the shop since before.  If she's still in the hospital, it will be a long recovery.  My Dr. said to plan for 3-4 days for each day in the hospital and longer if there is trauma.

He is here finally.  Surgery went fine but recovery was hell.  My bp jumped to 239 and then I flat lined so got intubated (not a pleasant experience).  Woke up in ICU with a nurse applying pressure to my groin and telling me to relax.  Turns out the high pressure caused my incision to bleed.  2 ct scans and 12 hrs later finally got the tubes out.  Was transferred to a cardiac floor for monitering and thought that maybe could go home Sat.  Hadn't been there 15 min when here comes the nurse with her machinery as seems as though I was in atrial fibrillation.  After several days of going in and out of afib, think they finally gave up on getting it to stop.  Had a short bout of pneumonia, and a round of urinary tract infection but finally was released to come home on Thur eve.

A true story.  Years ago, I let my bassett out before going to bed and it just so happened that an older school teacher who lived nearby was just getting home and parked in her garage that had a dirt floor.  She lived in an upstairs apartment and decided she couldn't wait so squatted in the corner.  My dog stuck his cold nose against her bare bottom.  She claimed he totally ruined her new girdle.

We are getting closer Judy.  Went in for pre-admission yesterday and everything was fine except for my blood pressure.  When I was at the Dr's setting this up it was up about 20 points and yesterday was up another 10 points for me.  Stopped on the way home and got some medication in the wine dept.
They are planning on me going home the next day.
Am getting the laundry done up and gave the dog a bath before his trip to the kennel.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: When to use a spiral vs a flat blade?

I'm with you Randy.  I won't use spirals unless there is just no alternative.  I have only done one project that they were necessary for.  Flatblader all the way!

Judy, are you as nervous as I?  Am now off alcohol and aspirin so GB, they don't have cocktails.  I also received some bad news.  Was feeling so good that they could do stints but then informed me that I have 2 more aneurisms.  Neither one large enough for surgery but that's where this one started.  If that wasn't enough, also found out I have a cyst on my kidney to have checked out.  Don't think I want to have any more CT scans as I was feeling fine up to that point.
