Those are really nice!!  I could use one of those. What a great design.  I wouldn't care what they were made of.  Great for both posts and wire earrings.

Why do you suppose Moses wandered the desert for so long?  He wouldn't ask for directions either.  :D

Yes we are much more willing to learn and experience new things whereas you guys are very predictable which is not always an good thing.  The only reason you like to stay in one place is that you can't get lost there. :P ;D

Thanks Russ... Now I know.  A long time ago there were two kinds, the saw dust glued together or the wood chips glued together.  When we first used the sawdust kind for flooring, it fell apart if it got wet,  I am sure it is better now.  Back then we called it pressed horse "poop" and it was said you could even see the oats in it :)

General Scroll Saw Talk / Doing shows...Right on Steve!!
« on: June 19, 2010, 10:06:13 am »
Just listened to steve's audio about selling at shows. He is right ON!! I have made my living at shows and The Renaissance Fairs for about 30 years.  First with my own decorative painted wood,   then the musical jester dolls and Teddy bears.  Now that I am "retired" I want to try it with my scroll sawing.

GEOGRAPHY OF A WOMAN  *ahem*

Between 18 and 22, a woman is like  Africa
 - half discovered, half wild, fertile and naturally beautiful!

Between 23 and 30, a woman is like  Europe
 - well-developed and open to trade, especially
for something of real value.

Between 31 and 35, a woman is like   Spain
- very hot, relaxed, and convinced of her own beauty.

Between 36 and 40, a woman is like   Greece
-  gently aging, but still a warm and desirable place to visit.

Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain,
with a glorious and all-conquering past..

Between 51 and 60, a woman is like   Israel
-  has been through war, doesn't make the same mistakes twice, and takes care of business.

Between 61 and 70, a woman is like   Canada -
cool, self-preserving, but open to meeting new people.

After 70, she becomes   Tibet
 - wildly beautiful, with a mysterious past and the wisdom of the ages.... an adventurous spirit and a thirst for spiritual knowledge.

THE GEOGRAPHY OF A MAN

Between 1 and 99, a man is like  Iran
 - ruled by nuts.

GrayBeard ...funny you should mention shorts.  The legs on my 788 were not comfortable when my leg pressed against it. I got a piece off pipe insulatioin and cut to length and just slipped it on.  Works great! even the right color.
