thanks Keith, I really needed your reply I just might take you up on the holiday invite, you never know--Richard
There is a small plastic box on top of the back base to store blades. This is useless!
I think the key is what Jeff touched on, do you want to be able to resaw? I think you would need at least a 14" to resaw well. I think you always buy the best you can afford and you won't be disappointed. I have a 10" Ryobi bandsaw and it works good for me. All I do is cut off pieces for scrolling or rough outline a pattern.
Jimbo makes a great point, cheap is (can be) dangerous.

We had the same problem and Ray (from Seyco) said there was a run of the saws that had a part that wore or something like that (don't quote me on it!) But they sent a new part and it has been fine since. Give them a call or call where you purchased the saw and see if you can get a replacement. Let us know how you do.

You have a local scroll saw shop in Belgium??
I'm in the Uk and I have not been able to download a pattern for months. Steve suggested I had a corrupt adobe reader but I have the latest version from Adobe so it is not that. I have an apple mac. I get a friend who has windows 7 to get me any pattern I want. Steve sends me patterns every few days or an interesting article. Greatest site on earth.
OK, I had a chance to test drive it today. I just got home from teaching my class. I'll try to get my review posted tomorrow!
Good advice, I keep all of my patterns on an external drive, and various flash drives. I think I will go make sure all of my patterns are on my backup drive. Thanks, so far so good the computer woke up this morning fine.
