Hi Jimbo, I apologize that I have not completed the video tutorial for preparing photos for the forum. I will make that a priority this week. Watch the News and Bulletins forum for that tutorial and hopefully I can answer all your questions.

Hi James, the oval key chains are two pieces of 1/8" thick wood and the regular key chains are 1/2" thick. This of course all up to what you think looks good.

Hi Charlie, wonderful idea. It's actually not legal to do a raffle on a website so I can't directly participate from the blog but I more than support the effort. I'm not sure how you can advertise the effort except from the community forum but anything you can do here is fine with me.

Nothing has changes sense the last live stream. The chat is Java based. You might need to update Java. What browser are you using?

I think The Coffee Shop sounds like a nice idea. I set it up right now.

Just resubscribe with the new email address. The system will automatically stop sending to the old address after it can no longer connect with it.

Tough crowd.  :D I told my barber the other day that my hair was receding so much he should give me a discount. He decided to charge me extra for all the broken mirrors.

Hi Steve, most scrollers prefer a dead mans style switch. Woodcraft sells a nice switch

You simply plug the scroll saw into the switch and then plug the switch into the wall. As mentioned below it's a good idea to tape over the machine on/off switch to keep dust out of the switch.

Besides the light and stand buy high quality blades like Flying Dutchman. Other supplies to keep on hand are spray adhesive, clear box tape, a protractor to set the blade square and plenty of wood.

Nice looking cutting Ken. Nothing wrong with a mistake that you learn from.

« on: May 24, 2010, 09:55:01 pm »
Hi Terry, I did a Boy scout tribute but received a letter not to use their trademarked logo. Without the logo the patterns gets a little weak. I thought about doing a pattern with a boy scout in a scene but it just never happened.

Dawie, it is a nice program. Travis over at http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/ has completed a few tutorials with Inkscape. Might be worth looking them up.

Hi Alexandros, I do have a couple teacher patterns in the online catalog but I would be happy to come up with something new for you. Send me another email and I'll watch for it.
