I hear you.  Just be sure to make some time for yourself.  I am the primary caregiver for my 92 yr old mother and don't seem to have time for anything.

Is anyone else having trouble with firefox?  It keeps crashing and will not let me stay on long enough to accomplish anything.

Beautiful knife.  It's good that he could pass along some of his knowledge to prevent it from being lost.  I have a knife that was given to me in 1966 that was made with an aluminum handle.

You might try googling toy poodle rescue.  There are several organizations that rescue specific breeds and try to find homes for them.

I enjoyed your site.  I also had some difficulty with the blue on black but that may have only been my eyes.  Have an appointment next week to get new glasses so maybe then it will show up better.  The projects were very slow to load but again that may be my system rather than the page.  Over all it is a very nice site.  Best wishes in your endeavor.

An old man, a boy & a donkey
were going to town.
The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked.

As they went along they passed some people

who remarked "What a shame the old man is walking and the boy is riding."

The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions.

Later they passed some people who
remarked "What a shame.... he makes that little boy walk."
So they then decided they'd both walk!

Soon they passed some more people
who remarked "They're really stupid to walk when they have a decent
donkey to ride."
So, they both rode the donkey.
Now they passed some people
who shamed them by saying "How awful to put such a load on a poor donkey."

The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decide to
carry the donkey.
As they crossed the bridge,
they lost their grip on the animal
and he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?
If you try to please everyone,

you might as well...
Kiss your ass goodbye!

Wish you could share some of that rain.  We have been designated a disaster area due to lack of rain.  Crops have failed and farmers are selling off their livestock as they can't feed them.

The Coffee Shop / Old is just old, not dumb
« on: July 10, 2012, 01:06:27 pm »
Old is just Old - Old is not Dumb! A strong young man at a construction site was bragging that he could out-do anyone in a feat of strength. He made a special case of making fun of one of the older workmen. After several minutes, the older worker had enough. 'Why don't you put your money where your mouth is,' he said. 'I'll bet a week's wages that I can haul something in a wheelbarrow over to that building that you won't be able to wheel back.' 'You're on, old man,' the braggart replied. 'Let's see you do it.' The old man reached out and grabbed the wheelbarrow by the handles. Then, nodding to the young man, he said, 'All right, Dumb Ass, get in.' Never mess with old people.

Yaaaay!  I finally found a relief to stay with mother so I can get away on the 13th.  Couldn't sign up in advance so hope to get in a seminar but will enjoy the show and getting to meet some fellow scrollers.

Here to your south, we are having the same heat but without the humidity.  Actually saw it drop below 20% which is unheard of here.  If we don't get some rain before long may not make any difference as everything is drying up.
