Paul,
What made this so funny was your post title "The Great Escape" Could you make another one with the title on top, "The Great Escape" with a word bubble coming out of the beak saying "Free at last" Hope I'm not asking too much, but this one is  a classic!

Paul, You need to be bored more often! It is rare when I literally laugh out loud at something, I did when I saw this.

Great pattern!

That is absolutely beautiful! You were right to keep the frame and background black, the Eagles really "POP". I'm sure it will be huge hit at the Cultural Arts Center!

Great Job, You need to pat yourself on the back for this one!

That's pretty good Paul, I think we've stumbled upon a new pastime :D " Who can create the best "GABBY" Gnome"! Hmmmm I wonder how well they'll sell? ;)

That's pretty slick Karl, and I like the stand too. Guess I'll have to check the local Dollar Tree to see if it carries them.

I agree with above, the Zebrawood turns a nice bowl into something special. Good Job!

Gabby, just want to point out that in this photo you can not see any details of the eyes, just shadows which come out looking like weird holes in the patter. If that is the effect you are looking for then that's fine, if you want a pattern where you can distinguish the eyes then this photo should be taken inside. The rest of the photo is fine. When making patterns, shadows can be troublesome.

Bob

I would like to give it an attempt, but just don't have the time today.

Hey Woody, I really like your design, very whimsical feel and personally I like it the way it is without a backer, as long as you can keep strength from being an issue.
