Computer questions / Re: Windows 'error message'..................
« on: July 09, 2012, 06:54:37 am »
Wouldn't this be nice?!?!?!?!?

Well GrayBeard  the reason you got that error is because you still using windows xp.....   Time to update to windows vista  don't go with windows 7  windows 7 is like winodws me was.  Windows 8 don't bother with it. You can't play dvd's Microsoft took that out. Now if you want to play dvd's on windows 8 you'll have to buy software to play dvd's that sucks.   I'm using windows vista and i'm going to wait until 2014 to update the the next o/s.   I'm sure there a lot of people that like winodws 7. but I don't I like windows vista.  They took so much out of windows 7 and windows 8 that is the reason I hate them both.  Microsoft just don't get it.  I think they should read Microsoft for dummies lol.  Or they should rehire bill gates.    I still love the good old days of MS-DOS and BBS.  enough said.  have a good week.

One way to fix this and it is the best way is.

If you know anyone that don't have internet access today  on 7/9/2012.

Tell them to do a reformat the hard drive and do a clean reinstall of there windows o/s.  This way it well clear the virus and also speed up the computer.  Then i'll also download a up to date anti-virus software and also download zonealarm then i'll also goto www.grc.com and run some test on the computer to test the DNS settings then. Then do the winodws updates then update the hardware drivers. This is easy anyone can do this it is child play. oops I'm A+ certified computer tech. oh well its  still child's play lol with out chucky...

even if you do have internet access  goto www.grc.com and run some of the test.  This guy is a good guy and spends lots of time.  I guess we could call him a white computer hacker and these guys are the good guys  stay away from gray and black computer hackers those are the bad guys.

I go more computer tips if anyone wants to hear them.   I just don't want you to fall asleep at your computer reading stuff that you don't understand lol but it would be funny if you did fall asleep and head your head on the desk lol... I have done that a few times didn't feel so good.
have a good one and keep safe on the internet.

There are lots of fake viruses out there just to let you know as well.

I've had the problem for about 12 months and have taken the lever out and sanded flat I also find forcing the wood through the saw will make the tension lever release

it started after I was cutting compunds  wood think 1 1/2" think.

mine was doing the same thing, keefie has the solution for 90% of the saws

i ended up pulling off the lower blade chuck to take a look at it and i can see why the blades kept getting pushed out, previous owner(s) had to be cranking down really hard on the knob as the walls of the block were pushed apart so far that only the very ends of the flat parts of the knob and the set screw would touch on the blade and when it got tightened it would just push the blade out and bend it and now with the new lower clamp installed it works great!

Did you have to replace the lower chuck too or just the clamp screw  and the set screw.  I'm also having that happen to me but I never over tight the screws just tight enough to hold them in.
