Computer questions / Re: Steves stencil printer help

Dave,
You are a jewel.  Big guy hugz  Thank you very much.   For some reason the top of the first letter gets cut off  when I adjust the height to try and get it down to .5 inches tall.    I'll keep playing with it.   Not sure how to get the two words closer together.  I can kern the individual letters but not up and down.

Can you tell me step by step how to do it in inkscape as well..   LOL

I use his little software gadget (stencil printer V 1.7) for making keychains all the time but I cannot for the life of me get it to print out 2 lines so i can do a compound keychain with two sides without printing out 2 separate patterns for the 2 different words.
Yes i click on the multi line and outline but no go.  How do you get it to display?  Pretty please.  Step by step for a puter numpty.

Those look great EiEio.  I prefer a #5 blade for standup puzzles for just the reason stated.  I've cut this puzzle and with a FD UR #5 had no sticking issues.  Love your dye job!

What style puzzle are you making out of MDF?  A photo attached to the front surface may be okay but standup style puzzles you may find to fragile.  MDF is not as forgiving as plywood.

The little kink is on all the UR blades from Mike.  I use the drag across my thumbnail method if it catches i know which way the teeth are pointing.

Trop,
You need to know Lemon oil will never cure fully.  That is why he uses a spray lacquer over the top of it.  If you lay it atop a cloth you will see a stain in a matter of minutes.  I stopped using it and went back to tung oil.

You can also use felt squares and foamies from wal-mart.  I also use mahogany luan if I want to paint the backer.

Nicely done.  I have on a couple of occasions cut a project and then re-sawed the finished project on the band saw and you are correct it works quite well.
