that is a Delta clamp, used on quite a few models, still available from Delta ( part small) but wont retro fit to other machines.
if that was what you were wanting to do
if you already have this clamp and have a problem please advise?

Dave. the pattern of the Dobies is so dear to my heart.  The one I did the portrait of was my third Dobie,  I had two before him.   I will be doing this pattern in the near future for them.
you be my guest

that looks to be the makings of a good pattern, you do have some very fine lines in there and maybe it needs a few more bridges
its hard to see in places were you intend to cut thats why we normally include the light grey fill colour
what program did you use on this, and why save as a PDF

I think I have got you right, if so you do not need to use the "back button"
example I posted a reply to your pattern request today
so from the "posts since last visit page, I click on your request, click reply and then insert message and pics then click post
this will now land you in the forum appropriate forum section ie  "pattern requests" and as mine would have been the last post it willbe at the top of the page were you can then review if you want. But in any case if you go at any time from any where to the top right of the screen under your username just click on "show unread posts since last visit" and you are back to were you started.

daveo,
I love that little window right next to your saw.  Perfect amount of natural light.  Looks like it may open for some fresh air as well.
Mike
you are exactly right the inclusion of that little window made a tremendous difference, natural light but not direct sunlight on the table is great

General Scroll Saw Talk / Beating MDF Dust
« on: July 07, 2014, 12:12:50 pm »
Now
Some may have seen this, some may use it and others might like it.
For a long time now I have been constantly battling with mdf dust in the vac filters, for ever stopping to clean them (I cut a lot of MDF). I introduced a so called interceptor, although the one I added was designed as an attachment for cleaning fire grates, but thought well the is really fine dust in the grates so it may work, IT DIDN'T, so I went in search of the answer and eventually found it.
as can be seen on pic1 it is a small 5 gallon bucket with two inlet/outlets
pic 2 shows the internal pipe work, the long pipe is as supplied and extends down to around three inches from the bottom of the bucket, the only addition is a standard waste elbow bonded to the other pipe, once this is done and as pic 3 shows fill the bucket with around one inch of water, put the lid on connect everything up and start cutting ( of course ensuring you have first cleaned the vac filter) I cut for around an hour and then removed the lid and as can be seen from pic 4 all the fine dust is congealed in the water and the filters are as clean as when I started, job sorted, oh the reason for the elbow is simply to act as a baffle to stop any splashing water getting into the vac.
As said some may not like the idea but for me it's a God send

I'm not looking at how people keep their shops, I looking at workstations. ;)

One of the reasons I would think it would be advantageous to be able to adjust the table top angle is would if someday a person wanted to make a big scroll project, then you could put the table at level and have supports on the outside.  Also with a bad back, it would be nice to change positions occasionally to get some relief.

Go on then
I suppose it's not to bad at the moment, you have bear in mind I cut anything up to 100 name plaques a week, so housekeeping is down to when she has the time :) :)
so Delta q3 sat on a Delta made stand, the rear leg is adjustable in height to tip the table
fine air filter at the rear
large collection funnel underneath, the dust first goes through a separator and then on to the extractor which is housed in an adjacent shed to keep the noise down.
magnifying light
and of course a soft padded adjustable height stool
