Thanks fellahs I have both of those links and the winfield catalog.  I was hoping to find someone who has built one or two and could be a mentor i should have been  more clear in my first post.  I apologize.

I'm going to have a large garden this year and I already have a ton of bird houses so the two are not going to go together very well.  I am looking for some whirlygig plans that will help keep the birds at bay.  Perhaps someone who has already built a few to mentor in the event I have questions during my build.
I tried to search Steve's blog but nothing came back.

Any problem with your hands sweating inside the gloves?  My disposable gloves i use for staining and painting my hands sweat inside them.

You did not say what species of wood.  If it is a hard wood you may have to go to the #7 but you can still cut the "curves".  I would think that a #5 will be just fine though and if it is a softer wood if you take your time you can use the #3 but you may get some bowing in the blade.  Share some pics of your project.

Thanks for sharing and can you do us a favor and sign your patterns so we know who to give credit too in the future and mark them as cut the white especially for newer scrollers.   They may be a little confused.
