Here is my version of the oven tray tool, and I suppose there are alot more, I had thought of putting somthing on the handle but that adds to the price, it would make it more atractive as a gift.

A god design I like the handle, I started making them last year, I do mine on the band saw and sand them off on a disc sander, sell them for $5, I only use off cuts to make them

Concentrate on the question Janet and stop the drooling, all us Kiwis are handsome, back to the question on cold hands, on the lathe I wear leather gloves but as yet have had no problems on the saw, [it is probably still to new] but I tend to keep my hands fingers on the wood more than the metal table perhaps I am doing somthing wrong!!

I agree with Dgman, the heading on your card reflects what you do or what you are selling.
I head my card, JimPardoe woodturner and Woodcrafter, that will change before my selling season this year, but will still put my name up front as people like to know who they are talking to,
good luck on your new design and lets know what you come up with

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Jig for Cutting a Perfect Circle?
« on: June 21, 2010, 02:49:06 am »
Easy on a lathe, does it have to be perfectly round? or just round , if so mark and cut your circle on the scroll or band saw preferably just out side the mark and then sand it round on a disc sander, if that is not good enough ther is plenty of sights on how to make a jig, but they do not always cut true

Let you off this time Graybeard, see how forgiving I am, these stands hold 24 pairs of earings, I have been making them to my own design for about 5 years, this one was a special order

Graybeard don't be so rude enlarge the pics and you will see they are for pierced earings and the cooky trays as you call them are for the keepers, the girls know don't you, and if you think the finial on the top is for looks it aint it is for diamond rings "SO"

Everything that goes into our land fills is picked over and sold on site and is not cheap I am told, I forage in the Sallies and Vinnie"s shops at home and pick up the odd cheap piece of wood, bed ends furniture, you have to know what to look for as there is so much veneer around now
