Nice piece of work where did you get the pattern?, it is actually a Maori fish hook that has been symbolised, this the sort of shapes they used made from whale bone or green stone, there is some really nice Maori carvings they are a very artist people

Nice work, the big cross must have been a head ache, havn't tried spirals but I must as you can not put them in back to front like the flats [so I believe]

Vari speed is vital in my opnion and I am a newbie at this stuff, I have been on a lathe for the best part of 7 years and it has an 8 speed manual change wich is Ok, I use it all the time, on my saw I use the speed control all the time as well, it does not matter what I am cutting I adjust it to the speed that it is cutting the best, I don't need a foot control as the on off swich is at my finger tips

I noticed the photo change but wasn't going to say a word as far as grey hair goes I had to tint mine grey cos people didn't believe I could still have natural colored hair at my age.

It was as cold as here yesterday and it is coming down again, I have the heater on and it is not quite 3-00 pm, to cold for the work shop
