I use mostly FD UR # 5.  Near the "top" that blade has a slight kink in it.  I eyeball the blade front to back to see it.  No more problems.

The Coffee Shop / Politics in the U.S. of A.

FYI:  For all you nice folks that are not in the USA, politics in Chicago and most of the State of Illinois is the laughing stock/embarrassment of our Country.  Here is an e-mail we received.

Our Uncle Frank, from Chicago, died.  He was a staunch Conservative, and voted Republican all his life.  Now that he is dead, he votes Democrat every year!

Computer questions / Anyone need this computer info ??
« on: September 14, 2014, 11:31:42 am »
http://www.komando.com/tips/271213/one-essential-setting-for-your-anti-virus-software

Our oldest son has been in the computer business for decades.  A lot of his work ends up being Removing Viruses.  It is very time consuming, costly & expensive.
Here are 4 things he taught us:

1.  Use McAfee, as he does.
2.  DO NOT use Facebook.
3.  DO NOT get on YouTube.  (The first place hackers go to are Facebook & YouTube, because they can hit the most people there).
4.  IF you get an e-mail that says "Click Here" or something to that effect, DON'T click on it.  You don't have a clue what kind of access to your computer you could be handing someone.

I went into the Confessional Booth, after being away from the Church for quite some time.
Inside, I found a fully equipped bar, with Guinness on tap.
On one wall, there's a row of decanters with fine whiskey and Waterford crystal glasses.
On the other wall is a dazzling array of fine cigars and chocolates.

Then the Priest comes in.
I said to him, "Forgive me Father, for it's been a very long time since I've been to Confession, but I must first admit that the Confessional is much more inviting than it used to be."

He replied: "Get out, you moron, you're on my side."

Silly me.  I always thought the person with the largest vehicle had the right-of-way.  Goes to show how little I know!!

FYI:  I live in Iowa (central USA).  I've had ONE ticket in my life.  That was for Failure to Yield in a fender bender.  Was in the Army, stationed in Chicago at the 5th Army Headquarters.  The year was 1961.
Whenever I renew my license, the person behind the counter always calls other staff members to look at the blank Driving Record screen.  I don't think Iowa kept/or stored records that far back.

A senior citizen said to his old buddy:
"So, I hear you're getting married?"
"Yep,"
     "Do I know her?"
"Nope"
"This woman, is she good looking?"
"Not really."
     "Is she a good cook?"
"Naw, she can't cook too well."
"Does she have lots of money?"
"Nope.  Poor as a Church mouse"
"Well then is she good in bed?"
"I don't know."
"Why in the world do you want to marry her then?"
"Because she can still drive."

The other day I told our grandkids that I was born in 1939.  Also said that I was not exactly sure, but I THINK that about a year or two later, dirt was invented.

Computer questions / Re: Links for Websites
« on: August 25, 2014, 08:59:07 pm »
Hi Merlin,

I'm not sure I completely understand your question. try these two things and see if you are getting the results you are hoping for:

1.  Upper left, where it starts out "http"  or "www", RIGHT CLICK that area and it should turn blue, which means that you can type over it.  Often when you start typing, it will give suggestions of what the computer thinks you want.  If you get an option you want, click on it.  Just as an example, Right click the area and type "foxnews"   It is not necessary to use any capital letters.

2.  Here is what I do if I might be skeptical about a site.  We use McAfee for virus & spyware protection.  I go to Google & type a site.
into their Search Box.  It gives options.  McAfee puts a green check mark by OK sites & a question mark by others that they have doubts about.

I hope this is of some help.
