I normally cut counter clock wise as the blade seems to cut better but it does not really worry me what ever suits

Thanks Richard I will try that I have had a lot of trouble of late with slipping blades both top and bottom, nener thought of the grub screw

I use glue stick with clear packing tape on top, glue sticks 3 for $2 and the tape is $1-86 for 50meters cheap and easy

I cut and plane all my wood for scrolling as to buy it would be too expensive, I use mainly recycled wood and it is all native timber, the outlay for machinery may be high but it does works out cheaper in the long run

If it's jarrah you will need to change your blade often a #5 should be OK and keep your speed down as the blade will over heat, also make sure you have tape on the wood

Scheppach used to make top of the line band saws and table saws but I think they are now being made in Asia and do not know what the quality would be like, I know the price has dropped in NZ for their product so may be the quality has as well
