Since the width of the wood was 2 3/8 inches the saw of course will not cut more than 2 inches.  I cut the general shape for the car on one piece( the center one ) and then traced it onto the top of the stacked other two.  The wheels were cut out of a piece of the scrap from one of the piggy banks as well only I used a 2 inch hole saw to cut the wheel.  This not only makes a decent wheel it helps me use up my scrap.  It was just a matter of sanding for the wheels, then staining with water based ebony stain.  Hope that helps answer your questions.

Created from the cutouts from making my piggy banks.  This car is made from pine and the headlights were ordered sometime ago for another project.  The eyes were glued on after applying shellac to the project.  The car is 6 inches long and 2 3/8 wide and 4 1/4 tall.
