Merlin you are in fact a wizard.  Thank you.  That fixed it!!!  I did not shrink it back down all the way I guess.  I was trying to see more detail in one of the photos posted.
Thanks again!

Djaldi,

The link you posted
www.all-free-download.com
Be aware these are not free cliparts.  This is from their site.

Due to the English and grammar on this site I would guess it is a foreign site.  I would hesitate to use any graphics from this site for re-sale or to make patterns from.

Just my 2 cents.

Janet,
you can take a peek on my site, and if you like the concept I can help you.  I don't really use a pattern per se.  But it is my original design.

I assure you it's a family safe site.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: What got you started in this hobby?

I was working as a correctional officer in a maximum security prison, (from which I retired)  and really needed something to release the stress.  I was at the state or county fair and saw a guy cutting names out of wood.  I watched him for almost an hour and was amazed.

His wife was talking to me and explaining how it worked.  It got a little slow for orders and he asked if I wanted to try the saw.  I said naw I'd cut my hand off.  He explained to me that the scroll saw is probably the safest power tool you could own.  I sat down and he gave me a couple of scraps to lay with and then he drew out my nickname on a hunk of pine and I cut it with him coaching me.  I still have my DUNK sign right here in my office.  That was in 1985, I've been tinkering in wood working ever since.  I went home and thought about it and went down the next day after work and got a 16" Ryobi, my first and worst saw.

I of course now love my 788 Ol' Yeller, she is about 9 years old I think.

How did you get started?

Well after looking at their site and peeking at the patterns they offer.

If the patterns are any indication of the quality of their craftsmanship I'd not spend a nickel on that saw.  Pretty pathetic patterns we could find at any kindergarten class.

Am I the only one that is seeing that the old log in area is no longer showing up.  I just see about 1/2" of the old log in spot at the top right of the page.

Judy,
You only need to contact the designer if it states "For personal use only".
Otherwise you are okay to sell your creations from the patterns.

Kokopelli2010 ,

Your rapid share link requires us to join to get it to work I think.  At the very least we cannot see what is going to download before we download it.  I'm hesitant to do that.

Just thought you would like to know.

I too could not live without my foot switch.  However I tried both types and I prefer the tap on and remove foot and tap off when I want to stop the saw.  I get leg cramps from having to hold the pedal down on the other type.

I use the furnace filter attached to a box fan trick and it works wonders for keeping the dust down in the shop and the attached blower helps to keep my lap empty.
