How can I get stencil printer on an IPad? If not, is there something else that can do the same thing? Any help would be appreciated.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Need help not getting square cut on scrollsaw
« on: November 11, 2016, 11:29:35 am »
Since the softer wood does cut square, it speaks of applying too much pressure to cutting and the blade then deflects causing tapered cuts. Try applying very little pressure to cut and see if that makes a difference.
Not sure if I'm  doing this right, just wanted to say thanks for the help.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Need help not getting square cut on scrollsaw
« on: November 10, 2016, 08:07:01 pm »
Leveled table by using square and making cut on board then flipping and everything fit fine. Using #7 Flying Dutchman blade, cutting 1 1/2 walnut, cut was not square, but tapered not letting pieces butt together. Leveled again same results. Tried 1" board of pin got square cut and worked. Went back to thicker walnut got beveled cut again. Kept squaring table but didn't help. On one cut using 1 1/2 walnut the piece was actually thinner at top and bottom and fatter in middle. Not new at this but sure could use some help.

Thinking about getting the grizzly go555 saw. Don't need anything real big, I like to scroolsaw and don't need to do resaw bigger than 6". $600 is my budget. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Wooden mugs

Thanks to those who replied about the flat spot on the mug. The directions from Steve Good was to flatten the rings of the mug after glue up. I agree with the replies and curved the handle instead. It was a hit and miss if I got it right. I loved the suggestions and will try them. Hope this is the right way to reply.

Thanks

New member from IL. Not sure how to post things yet, but I'll try a question. I like making wooden mugs, but not sure how to flatten a spot on the rings without doing all of them. Any help would be nice. Also, why doesn't Dewalt come with a lifting arm? Tired of hen pecking, gotta go.

Thanks
