Not to sound newbish (which I am) what's considered a "Backer"? is that like a mount for a plaque or something?

Thanks,

Pattern Requests. / Plaque Font
« on: January 09, 2012, 12:59:47 pm »
Greets all,

I'm working on a plaque with a logo on it similar to SG's US Veteran Plaques with the emblem in the center and the lettering on the outside.  Anyone know what that font is? Or have another favorite font they have for similar projects?  I am using adobe CS atm and have not downloaded any of the free-ware or other programs discussed in other forums.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I used the microwave earlier today when I was removing a pattern and I found that It worked great, but it was not a complete peel.  I still ended up using some Goo Gone to remove some of the smaller scraps of the pattern and the stickiness that the glue left.

Greetings all,

I'm Jeremy from the Atlanta area.  After about 8 months of begging and nagging my wife bought me an introductory scroll saw for christmas.  It is the Ryobi from Home Depot, and after a few epic failures I have finally minimized my vibration and completed the cuts for the US Navy Veteran plaque in which SG has on the website.  I'll post a pic when I sand and "finish" it.  I'm looking forward to learning from you all and I am anxiously waiting my first order of FD UR-5's and 3's.
