Grind them off!!!
Or open your vice just enough for the pin to fit loosely and hit the other end of the pin with a ballpeen hammer and drive it down and out.
They must be a press fit going in so they should come out the same way.

Charlie,
You said that you were stack cutting, how are you holding the two pieces together? Using double sided tape or some other method? I was thinking that getting the two apart when they are that large could be a challange.
Also, what is the plan for mounting? It seems to me that you might need a thicker backing for it to hold it flat, 66" of 1/4" plywood is sure to warp.
I have had trouble with both, stack cutting 1/4" plywood using the cheapest of carpet tape and trying to get them apart causing breakage, and even when the pattern is only 12" wide, I have had warping by not using anything but a frame to mount the project.
Wish you the best of luck and, I too am watching to see how it goes. I would like to try something larger (not as large as yours but...) a challange is a challange. LOL
I have never tried the sprial blades, (I was warned not to by another scroller), but I just might get some and see what I can do with them. :) (He said that they streach and are hard to keep following a line.)

Ask Steve a question. / Re: Scrollsaw Foot Pedal for the DW788?

I added  a foot control to my DeWalt. It is an Olsen. To be honest, I dont rember where I got it but, I think I ordered it from "Sloans Wood Shop". They have the switch for $39.95. In fact, the more I think about it, I'm sure that is where I got it.
You might find something simular cheaper elswhere.
They are not at all hard to hook up. You just plug the foot control into the wall and then plug the saw into the switch and turn on the saw swithch and tape it in the "on" position.
If you have a light, it must be pluged in to the wall outlet seperatly.

Assuming the table isn't bent or cracked, I think you should invest in a new square as suggested by Patch.

Pay no attentinon to the bubble, "flat" and "level" are not the same!

And you never know when you might need a piece 1/8" x 2" for a filler strip or something.

Dunk,
You can pick and choose your friends on facebook. If there is someone you don't know or don't care to admit you know, just click on "ignore" and they go away.
Just befriend the ones you want to.
I have just started using Facebook a few weeks ago and I have about 8 friends (mostly family members) and all the rest can go on down the pike as far as I'm concerned.

Barry,
If you coat the pine with a coat of #1 lb shellac before you stain, it will not blotch as bad.
I use Zinsser clear or Sealcoat and cut it 50/50 with denatured alcohol and brush it on. It dries fast, and then lightly sand the item before staining and the pine (and alot of other soft woods) will not blotch. Then you can finish it with polyurethane or anything (even more shellac) for a final finish.
