That does help and I'll have to snoop around a little if yours carries it mine must also well perhaps.  Thanks for the info..If you have not tried stack cutting you will love how much time it saves.  Perhaps give it a try.

How thick are your ornaments, in another thread you mentioned you are making your ornaments out of poplar.  Do you re-saw it?  I can only get 3/4" thick poplar locally.  Also, do you stack cut your ornaments.

I usually set my 788 around 4 1/2.  Only a ball park depends on the blade.

I agree with what has been said.  I also find that Poplar has a tighter grain more suited fro painting than Pine.  I do not have the problem of the wood taking charge of where the blade goes using poplar.
