All the ex 21's are made in Asia to my understanding and you get a goody or a baddy, I had mine for 14 months before it gave problems and the franchise dealers say I don't know what I am talking  about when I say it vibrates after the repairs they did on it, SO at present i am stuck with it I am going to contact Seyco and hold them to their guarantee if it vibrates we will refund your  money, BUT I will not hold my breath

You got it Mike, I make a few $$ only because I get my wood for nothing, $$ per hour would be well under award rates, I give my wife money for helping me at fairs and what is left goes for the cost of the site and me but as Mike says it woild be hard to make a living out of it

I run the whole blade on the tire, just make sure the blade is not rubbing against the back bearing top and bottom, also the blade guides they should be 2 sheets of paper away from the blade top and bottom as well, if you use the same size blade all the time the settings don.t change,

General Scroll Saw Talk / Re: Turning Tools
« on: April 05, 2012, 03:10:09 am »
Hi  Gene what are you proposing to turn on your lathe?, as has been stated there is nothing wrong with your wood turning tools that a turn on the grinding wheel wouldn't help, I have never heard of the lathe you are using but if it goes around then that is OK as you have to start some where, don't go out and buy lots of tools as this is unnecessary, bowl gouge, spindle gouge, parting tool, and skew chisel, and this will get you on the road, size about 1/2"
Good luck

Judy you can adjust the tracking of the blade from the back of the saw it tilts the drive wheels, different size blades track differently as a rule, I use the same size so don't have to adjust the tracking

I use a band-saw with a 6" cut and 14" clearance but I would not do without my bench saw, I have that tucked away as it is not used that often, a band saw is not that accurate at cutting as a bench saw and the blades are not cheap
